Deacons Boatyard approached us after they had decided that they wanted to replace their existing offices and chandlery building on the banks of the River Hamble in Hampshire. Deacons had already employed an architect and were concerned that they didn't know much about running a project and therefore thought it prudent for a professional firm of Project Managers to take control of the project on their behalf.
As soon as we were appointed we enabled the Directors of Deacons Boatyard to focus on their core business of running the site and marina and took away the stresses and strains of managing the project.
We were able to tender and recruit an experienced project engineer for the scheme, we co-ordinated the design team, acting as managing consultant and ensured all health and safety matters were taken care of. The project was tendered to five contractors and we co-ordinated the tender analysis process with the other consultants.
Our involvement throughout the project and input at all stages enabled the project to come in under budget and be completed on time with the end result being a high quality building which met the full requirements of the client.
Ultimately the project was completed on time and to budget and Deacons now have a fantastic new facility at their boatyard on the banks of the River Hamble. |
