We are also specialists in offering the following services:
Health and Safety Management
The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1994 (CDM) place statutory duties on the client (i.e. any person or organisation commissioning construction, maintenance or report work) to take an obligatory health and safety role in the construction process.
The client is also required to appoint a Planning Supervisor to co-ordinate the health and safety aspects of the project design, notify the Health and Safety Executive of the works and to ensure that the Principal Contractor is adequately co-ordinating the health and safety aspects of the construction phase. Failure to comply with the regulations could lead to a criminal prosecution.
Our experienced professional can take on the role of Planning Supervisor preparing the necessary documents, report the project to the HSE and ensure that all contractors are complying with the regulations.
Planned Preventative Maintenance
At now design and planning we can produce schedules that can be used to plan preventative maintenance for the future following completion of a development.
The detailed reports identify the life span of different elements and propose a schedule of preventative measures, when works should be carried out and how much it will cost. The schedules can be used for budget forecasting and are a useful tool for aiding cash flow as well as ensuring the most from building elements by prolonging life through careful and considered maintenance. This is proving an invaluable service to both corporate and private clients eager to avoid costly problems in the future.
Contract Administration
As part of our project management service, we can manage the detailed administration required under the various standard forms of building contract. Our team act on behalf of clients as their agent - monitoring work under these contracts including production and management of budgets, production of tender documents and analysis, contractor instructions, valuations and the supervision of work to ensure it is carried out to the required standards.
